Topless – that's what this Optics calls the design of their M1 red dot sight because as you can see in the pictures, it lacks a top strap of the housing over the window. The advantage of this design is that it provides a less obstructed field of view which should result in faster target acquisition. That despite this open-top design, the M1 sight is still very robust because "the glass is very strong and the side bars make it just as strong as any other sight on the market".

This Optics M1 is a non-magnified open-emitter reflex sight available with 3-MOA dots of both red and green color options. The brightness level is selected via the two rubberized buttons located on either side of the housing. The sight is powered by a single CR1632 battery. The access to the battery compartment is from the top of the housing which will allow changing the battery without removing the sight from the firearms. The windage and elevation are adjustable within a 50 MOA range. It weighs in at one ounce and has the following dimensions: length – 1.6″; width – 1.3″; height – .8″, lens size – 24mm.

- This mount plate is proud to introduce a revolutionary new product The Universal Mount for Glk. It has the lowest height-over-bore mount in the industry without the hassle of cutting your slide or cost of buying an aftermarket slide!
- We have put many hours and 1000's of rounds down range with most of the more popular red dot optics on the market with no problems whatsoever! This includes the Burris* Fast* Fire* II & III, Leup* Docters* II & III, * RM,* and many others.
- The mount itself is secured to the slide via the dove tail with 6 set screws. Two in the dovetail cut and one forward and aft of the dovetail and two more to prevent any shift. This provides a steady, sturdy and rugged mount that will repeatedly hold zero. Other mounting hardware included is 6mm, 8mm and 10mm screws (two of each) that are used to fit and secure most of the popular optics out there.
 
 Installation: 
- Depending on what optic you have you will need to find the screws that correlates with your particular optic. There are two special screws for RM. Once you secured the GUM to your slide and found the correct post ( two sets of reinforcing post included) for your optic, go ahead and mount your optic on the post and use the final two longer securing screws to secure your optic to the GUM. 
- It is highly suggested that you have a gunsmith install the GUM and utilize the correct tools for installation.
- Leup Delt Point* can be mounted but not with reinforced posts to secure 100%
